Introduction of Self
Could you
briefly describe who you are and what you do?
I am a visionary, an artist of multi-media poetry, photography, computers,
music, painting, cooking, teaching and much more. I was born in Jamaica
migrated to the USA, lived in China Hong Kong Japan… traveled to
England, France, Serbia, Germany, and Austria, I saw your advertisement
on BBC television and was inspired in writing my thoughts expressing a
Blast of an Idea. I titled this idea "Poet Fest", which involve
three days of poetry… educational interactive and informative…Friday,
Saturday and Sunday; a weekend for the young and the old of all nations
gathering together under a banner of celebration of the achievements in
literary Arts.
At current I am living in the Netherlands where I am a house dad, I look
after my six months old daughter Ama Hatsheptsu SteadySpear. In brief
cycle I would venture out to perform as a Poet MC… my most recent
appearance to me to the City of Belgrade.
What did
you want to be when you grew up?
As I child my main thoughts and focus of the future was being a traveler…
see the World and learn as much as I can about my roots as a human being
What did
you do when you left school? (what was your first job/college course/university
etc...)
School is an everyday occurrence, as to the departure of organized institutions:
From high school I migrated to the USA and worked as a carpenter later
started studies in Engineering, Sociology, Psychology and Photography
at Community College in Newark New Jersey, USA. Depart from that institution
of higher learning to study photography and art education in New York
City. After graduation, I travel to Asia as a freelance artist, got marry
in Hong Kong and received black belt title while studying Martial Arts
in Japan then moved back to the USA. Worked briefly
As a civil engineer in the state of Georgia… later open a small Art
Gallery title "D-Gallery
When did
you realise you wanted to be in your current position?
To be honest
I don't wish to be in my current position.
My desire is to continue my academically bliss in pursue studies for a
MA and pH D. in the UK in areas of Art Education, teaching English as
Second Language and International Sing Language. My Current position does
not allow such desire to grow because of immigration laws and lack of
finance.
What is your
average day like?
An average day for me is looking after my daughter… work out
write several poems and songs, new Ideas in my journal and at the end
of day asked self what did I learn new today.
Who is the person you admire most?
The person I most admire is Imhotep of 3rd Dynasty Kemet, which later
called Egypt by the Greeks. He was the one first recorded as multi-genius.
When beings expressed prejudices of ego because of hue, I would stated
such view…did you knew a man of similar hue built the Giza pyramid
now taller than you.
What is your
greatest ambition?
First to have enough funds that I would never have to worry about food
to eat and a place to sleep; Second, to live to a ripe old age after completing
all my academic challenge. It should be somewhere by the sea, where I
can watch the Ocean and the sunset have my print shop to sell Artwork
to tourist and work in the local institution for higher learning.
Third… for sometime in the near future promote a music festival in
China titled World Beats.
What is your biggest worry?
Money… the lack of finance to pursue my dreams.
Just in case, I have resolved to this "mantra" " Better
to die trying than to not try at all.
Try to smile
more in life… your smile will open more doors than a frown
Plus smiling is much healthier… in poetic short; "if you stay
unhappy… this will damage your inside… so smile.
Vegan Meal:
Side plate of Plain Rice, main dishes of Tofu with cream corn and mix
green vegetables... As for the Juice: Ruby Grapefruit, Orange, Pineapple,
and lime, little brown sugar and sparkled water for the fizz.
